As Operations Director for Advanced Technologies, Matthew Schneider leads the sales and strategy activities for Cisco’s US Federal customers in the areas of data center, collaboration, wireless and security for premise and cloud solutions. As part of the US Federal Leadership Team, Matthew and team work to ensure Cisco’s advanced technology portfolio is aligned to the unique needs of the US Federal clients as they execute on their mission to protect, serve, and educate.
Prior to his current role, Matthew led the US Public Sector Collaboration teams as well as the Federal Law Enforcement and Federal Financial Regions. Matthew and his teams supported a broad Federal customer base including the Dept. of Homeland Security, Dept. of Justice, the Federal Reserve, US Treasury, IRS, SEC, FDIC, US Courts and Capitol Hill with a heavy focus on mission enablement through the use of technology.
Over his 11 years with Cisco, Matthew has supported a wide range of customers in the Federal, State and Local, and Enterprise markets both as an individual contributor and in a management role. Prior to joining Cisco, Matthew spent several years with AT&T and UUNet providing Internet and Data Communications to Systems Integrators and Enterprise Clients.
When not working, Matthew enjoys an active sporting life of skiing, boating, playing and coaching hockey with his wife and 3 children in Northern Virginia. Matthew is an Ironman Triathlete and marathoner. He received his B.A. for the State University of New York at Buffalo in Mathematics, with a minor in Education.
